Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for May 30.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Goulburn, Casino, Cranbourne, Bendigo, Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton.
GOULBURN: RACE 6 @ 2:55 PM
HELL OF A FOX (3) has finished hard from the back, winning her last two, and was heavily backed the latest at the Sapphire Coast in this grade. Draws better this time and has a 2kg claimer aboard. The Pepper yard is flying, and the filly can go on with the job. MIDNIGHT LUNA (7) resumed with a CL1 win at Queanbeyan over this trip and will be better for the outing. She also benefits from a 2kg claim and fitter, is a chance to go on. IN THE NIC OF TIME (8) led and was a comfortable Maiden winner on the same day. He was also heavily bet and looks to have turned the corner. Has to skip across from a wide barrier, but Loy is a positive jockey booking. KOTAISHI (4) found the grade too rich at Hawkesbury, but brought good form to that. He also draws wide, but will be around the mark with average luck.
SELECTIONS: Backing Hell Of A Fox.

CASINO: RACE 4 @ 1:20 PM
ENHANCE (4) registered his sixth minor placing in a row, and a second this prep, when edged out over 1100m on the Sunshine Coast poly track last start. Should enjoy a soft run up on the speed and this looks his ideal chance to grab that well-deserved win. TOTALLY UNDERRATED (13) has been about the mark at both runs this prep. Settled closer last time but didn't quite see out the 1400m at the Sunshine Coast poly. Ideally placed back to six furlongs third-up and poses a genuine threat. GOLD PUMA (10) was lining up for only the second time and made nice progress recently when runner-up over this trip at Inverell. Only needs to hold that form to play a big role on the seven-day back-up. BEAUTIFUL JO (9) is a market watch first-up from two years on the sidelines. A sound recent trial at Grafton suggests she will have something to offer. CALL OUT (2) won a Gold Coast trial in emphatic style on 20 May. Looks set for a positive resumption after a fifteen-week absence.
SELECTIONS: Backing Enhance.
CRANBOURNE: RACE 5 @ 7:15 PM
Tipping NEW YORK STAR (8) goes on with it after breaking her maiden in nice enough style over this route when last seen 56 days ago. She was heavily supported into $1.55 and never really looked in doubt when leading throughout. The run prior when second to Scampi is just as telling a piece of form and she finds a race where her opposition lacks upside. REASONABLE POINT (2) is a handy type coming off a solid win at Wangaratta, scoring by 1.3 lengths in this sort of grade. She should be fighting out the finish again. JUNGLE SENSATION (1) was well beaten fresh in a BM70, her first run for the Laming yard. This is a big drop in class. STRAPPARSI (3) can bounce back off a poor run at Pakenham while WEAPON CLEAR (4) is lightly raced and could figure on resumption.
SELECTIONS: Keen on New York Star.
BENDIGO: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM
Maybe the most interesting race of the day. SAMURAI (6) is honest and typically hit the line hard to be in the finish fresh. The extra trip is a plus and looks tough to stop. Deserves a win. LIGHTNING EXPRESS (1) is a former Singapore galloper who has placed at two of three runs in Australia. The yard is going great and looks hard to beat on recent efforts. FREUD (9) is lightly raced and returns in easier grade. Worth noting sole win was while fresh and looks well placed in this. LORD DOMINO (5) was fourth fresh then improved to hit the frame latest. At his top now and gets chance. JUJA KIBO (4) is a former Irish galloper who might want a little further but has had a short campaign so far in Australia when midfield in town at only run. Will be winding up late.
SELECTIONS: Follow up on Samurai.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 3:17 PM
TELL NO GOSSIP (7) has placed around this circuit and draws favourably in gate two. Has really come into this contest on the back of a stack of scratchings. BIT OF GRUNT (1) has placed around this circuit and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Looms as the main danger. MY MISCHKA (10) resumes here but showed enough when last in work to warrant consideration in a race like this. Top-three hope while fresh. SCOTTVILLE SCOOTER (12) next in line from the inside alley.
SELECTIONS: Tell No Gossip to get that maiden victory.
ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 2 @ 10:40 AM
PROFITS PRAYER (2) was only beaten 1.4L at Mackay on debut. He's sure to have come on, and it's hard to risk the potent Stanley-Taylor linkage. The one to beat. BUNGARRIBEE RAIN (6) found one better her on debut, surprising the market. She has trialled well since and has a handy 3kg claim today. The threat. HEROIC TALENT (5) improved sharply, placing at Mackay. Has an awkward barrier but should be around the mark at a price. GRUMPYWANTSATISSUE (4) debuts and has trialled well at the track. Darws inside and is likely to race well. GIAPPONESE (3) debuts with Butler booked. Tipping that he'll be better than the trial finishes suggest.
SELECTIONS: Backing Profits Prayer.
