Today’s Horse Racing Tips - 14th June 2025

3 minute read

Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 14.

Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Sandown, Eagle Farm, Murray Bridge, Bunbury and Darwin.

ROSEHILL: RACE 5 @ 1:20 PM

CODETTA (2) undefeated second up and like the way she attacked the line when resuming with a narrow second over this track and trip. Gets a similar set up for this with McMurray's claim and ready to win. KING'S SECRET (9) progressive gelding from an in form stable. Will have little trouble carrying the extra weight after demolishing his rivals in the same class over this course and distance at latest. Andrew Adkins keeps the ride and sure to be thereabouts. WINNING PROPOSAL (3) frustrating filly who gets weight relief in this easier contest after producing two mixed runs this time in. Form has since been franked after struggling to finish off behind Storm The Ramparts over 1000m at Randwick. Leading apprentice booked and finally drawn a decent gate. SLINKY (8) progressive mare not to be underestimated first up with the two good trials. SUMMER FLAME (16) failed to handle the heavy track last start and can bounce back at the good each way price.
SELECTIONS: Codetta in a strong contest.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 6 @ 2:45 PM

ROADCONE (5) is in rare form and looks the one to beat again. He was dominant at Pakenham two back and went right on with it here last start, ridden aggressively by Luke Cartwright to put a margin on his rivals which he never looked like relinquishing. Similar tactics will surely be adopted here and he may just run them into the ground once more. AZTEC STATE (3) can run a good race while fresh. The 1600m is an ideal kick off point fro him having been good over 1400m first up last time in. He certainly has the class to be figuring. HIYAAM PROUD (6) was a bit disappointing fresh in Sydney on wet ground but should strip much fitter for that and her form around Oh Too Good last preparation reads very well. NATION'S CALL (7) should be ready to fire now third up off two even runs. CHAKADO (9) is flying and hard to knock.
SELECTIONS: Roadcone to win.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 3 @ 12:53 PM

The $400,000 Group 2 Brisbane Cup. The penny has dropped for CAMPALDINO (4) who has strung three wins together on the bounce including a strong victory here in the QEII Cup a fortnight ago. Has saluted on all going and should be able to sit up on speed for Clark from gate three. Sure to give backers a sight. ETNA ROSSO (3) has just run into one better at the past couple but gets the deadly Waller/McDonald combination here. Looks ready for the step-up in trip now. NIKAU SPUR (2) has a handy record around this circuit with two wins and four placings from eight attempts. Rawiller sticks in the saddle following the last-start placing and rates a genuine top-three contender on best form. It will pay to ignore the latest effort from DILLIAN (10) but go on the two solid wins to start the campaign. Worth another chance. MANZOICE (7) will appreciate the two-mile journey and may earn some minor money.
SELECTIONS: Campaldino to continue the picket fence.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 10 @ 4:20 PM

Tricky race to finish the program. DREAMS FULFILLED (8) is handy on his day and is going better than his form looks on paper. The Out Of Square form looks strong and he gets the 2kg claim for Taylor Johnstone, who is fighting out the Premiership. PRANCETHRULIFE (14) beat him home last start when also chasing Out Of Square. Must overcome a tricky draw but can be in the finish. MILLIVOY (9) keeps racing well and looks suited here. SOLAR BLAST (4) is knocking on the door after two narrow defeats, while SAV ON ICE (15) has always carried a bit of a boom and gets his chance to live up to the hype in this race.
SELECTIONS: Taking the quinella with 8 and 14.

BUNBURY: RACE 2 @ 12:34 PM

MY HIDDEN UNIVERSE (5) returned from a long break with an impressive victory at Belmont, sitting close to the speed and putting his rivals away with ease. He'll be better again for that effort and while this is tougher, he looks an above-average galloper. Can make it five wins in-a-row. PROSPECTOR'S PICK (3) sat back last time and got the job done right on the wire, scoring in a photo finish as favourite down the Pinjarra straight. The nose roll is applied now and the wide draw doesn't hurt with his adaptability. Can go back-to-back if he runs up to his last-start figure. SONGAA (2) was a good winner first-up last campaign in this grade and shapes similarly this time in. He'll be fitter for two trials and he does have some strong ratings next to his name. Can resume on a winning note. DESERT WHISPER (7) has been gunned down late to begin this campaign, but should be at her peak now. SUPERNATURAL (8) got the job done fresh and can continue to improve through the grades.
SELECTIONS: My Hidden Universe can extend his winning streak.

DARWIN: RACE 6 @ 5:05 PM

Really keen on DANGER MAN (5) to finish over the top of these in the last on the program. Looked to have a fair bit in hand last time when a handy winner and this shapes up as a logical progression. DESERT MIST (2) comes through the same race and will enjoy the distance rise on offer today. Tread warily with him engaged. KIEFFER (4) comes into consideration but will need to find a few lengths to be a serious contender today, while FAITHFUL CHAMPION (3) showed enough two starts back to suggest he could run a cheeky race today.
SELECTIONS: Thought Danger Man looked very impressive winning last start, and he's well equipped to go right on with it in this.
