Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 11.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington,
Mount Gambier, Ballarat, Doomben and Bunbury.
RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 3 @ 2:35 PM
WUDDZZ (6) tough staying gelding who strips fitter fifth up. Ran on late from back in the field when taking good ground off Casual Connection to secure second over 2400m at Randwick in this grade. Expect to see him a little closer in the run and prove hard to hold out. CASUAL CONNECTION (1) consistent gelding starting to build a good record with apprentice Molly Burke. Sat on the speed and pulled out plenty late when a dominant winner over this trip at Randwick. Big jump in weight but racing in peak form. SUN GOD (3) frustrating Waller-trained gelding who gets another chance on the better surface. Beaten a long way out in the heavy (9) going when thirteenth over 2400m at Randwick. McDonald rides and capable of better. AHURIRI (4) tough win second up over the 1900m at Canterbury, before turning in a dismal effort when dropping out to run eleventh over 2400m at Randwick. Another who can turn it around on an improving surface.
SELECTIONS: Wuddzz can go one better.

MT GAMBIER: RACE 3 @ 2:25 PM
THISISMYTURF (2) gets his chance to win back here. He has had one go at this course and won it last Spring. Likely has similar conditions to then and will be at peak fitness too. Must go close. GRASSMERE DIAMOND (4) has been in excellent form through her career. She will race on the pace and prove hard to run down. MISO (1) drops back from running in metro company. Has to find this more suitable and the claim helps. QUIK RHAPID (3) will find itself right at the front of proceedings. Does go best for today's rider. HOT FLUSH (5) probably pushes forward as well. Had three trials to be ready to go.
SELECTIONS: Thisismyturf might just get last call on the leaders.
BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM
WELCOMETOTHESHOW (4) resumes for his second campaign having run third in both runs last time in. The debut at Geelong was very good when just 1.3 lengths away and then he tackled a strong race at Moonee Valley, good again behind the smart Clean Reef. Finds the right race now and should go close. CHILLS 'N' THRILLS (15) is a 2yo filly by Trapeze Artist on debut for the Hayes yard. Her jumpouts have been even but she draws well and the stable must be respected. BRAVE CAROL (5) is open to improvement off two runs to date and can be in this for a long way. EMPEROR TZU (10) worked home well on debut at Ballarat over 1000m and should appreciate a slight rise in trip now. Open to improvement and has claims.
SELECTIONS: Welcometotheshow to win.
DOOMBEN: RACE 5 @ 2:53 PM
Archibald-trained METCALFE (12) is third-up and ready to fire at the each-way quote. Stepped up to 1800m last time, and he's been tried in stronger races. Tumbles in weight, and that brings him right into it. JEALOUS (4) was expected to win here two weeks ago over a mile, and things didn't work out. She's suited to middle distances and would have these covered at best. Craig Williams sticks aboard, and she just needs average luck in the run. FIRE AND LIGHT (10) just missed this track and trip in a CL1 and also has plenty of weight relief. He may sit closer today from an inside barrier and is on a 7-day return. He can improve again and has claims. FIRST INNINGS (2) missed 1L at the Gold Coast in tougher grade, sharply improved. Jumps from the outside gate, but will hit the line.
SELECTIONS: Going with Metcalfe each way.
BUNBURY: RACE 6 @ 5:35 PM
ZOUCONI (9) resumed with a solid performance late in the race behind one who has since placed in Saturday grade. Up in grade today, but the rise in trip is ideal and we haven't seen the best of her in recent starts. Pike rides again and she's got the platform to launch now. HEZANGELIC (2) is racing in good order this campaign when getting run down by a smart one last start down the Pinjarra Straight. This is an easier race and he should put himself close to the speed from the draw. Up in trip now, but he has placed at this trip previously and he can play a major role. PETITE VITESSE (5) was very impressive at the end of last campaign when mowing down her rivals in fine style. Likely to get back in the run, but can be storming home over the top. ELBOW LOUNGE (1) has trialled well coming in and has shown good speed previously. In the mix. SPECTACULAR PARK (6) is in the mix on prior form but has spent a long time off the scene. Jury out with the trials and the market will tell the tale.
SELECTIONS: Zouconi can get the job done.
