Midweek racing from Randwick Kensington & Ballarat Synthetic and we've got a horse to follow for each meeting.
Randwick Kensington Race 1 - Stardeel
Nice return over the 1150m from this Dundeel gelding who was given a very quiet ride from a wide barrier. As soon as the gates opened the instructions were evident, taken right back to last and given little hope over a trip short of his best. He ran through the line solidly for third and looks to have come back well. He showed some ability getting to 1400m last time in but I imagine with another preparation under the belt that he'll appreciate 1600m sooner rather than later.
Ballarat Synthetic Race 7 - Our Wishbone
Another very impressive win by this Archie Alexander trained gelding who was off a dominant 3-1/4 length maiden win at Seymour. He was in a slightly awkward spot despite being on speed, holding the rail with the horse outside him leading, but he quickly moved up underneath that horse around the bend and shot away to score by 4-3/4 lengths in good time. Always good to relish the synthetic surface at this time of year and no doubt he can be placed well for more wins this campaign.
