Morphettville Parks Races Review on 7th June 2025

Apprentice Taylor Johnstone got to three wins behind fellow apprentice Rochelle Milnes on the Adelaide jockeys’ premiership when she rode Mystic Wonder to a win in the 1250 metre opening event at Morphettville on the Parks track on Saturday.

Trained by Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle Mystic Wonder  sprinted away from her rivals over the concluding stages after coming from a midfield position.

Taking full advantage of the wet conditions Grand Host won his second race in a row when he took out the 1000 metre second race.

Coming out of the Murray Bridge stable of Matthew Seyers the Jessica Tzaferis ridden Grand Host came from a worse than midfield position to meet with success.

Jockey Jessica Tzaferis brought up a running double when she rode High Society Girl  to a win in the 2400 metre third race.

Continuing the good run of Murray Bridge trainer Stephen Theodore High Society Girl was handy to the lead throughout the event.

Synchro  made it two wins ins a row when he took out the 1400 metre fourth race.

Bred in New Zealand, trained at the Wellington property of Michael Hickmott  and guided to victory by Todd Pannell, Synchro led all the way.

Taylor Johnstone brought up her second win for the day when her mount Great Maximus took out the 1250 metre fifth race.

Prepared by Richard and Chantelle Jolly and making it two wins in a row Great Maximus came from last with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Michael Hickmott brought u his second winner for the day when the five-year-old gelding Cruz Missile won the 1550 metre sixth race.

Giving apprentice Caitlin Tootell her first Morphettville winner Cruz Missile raced in a forward position and recorded a strong win.

The success of last start winners continued when Daisydoo took out the 1000 metre seventh race.

Bringing up another win for the Murray Bridge track the Justin Pickering trained Margaret Collett ridden Daisydoo was seen running on from a midfield position.

After bringing up a second at Balaklava recently Nostryia went one better when he won the 1000 metre eighth race in a tight finish.

Prepared by David Halliday and having the services of Justin Potter Nostryia scored his second win from twelve starts after being well placed.

Leading apprentice Rochelle Milnes had to wait until the last race to salute the judge when her mount Tosen Waters was successful in a tight finish in the 1000 metre final event.

Now a winner of successive races the Gary and Nichole Searle and Brianna Callahan prepared Tosen Waters came from a midfield position.
