Morphettville Races Review on 1st June 2025

Morphettville trainer Travis Doudle kicked his day off in good fashion when the two-year-old Golden Horizon took out the 1100 metre opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.

Guided to victory by Connor Murtagh Golden Horizon  led all the way.

Apprentice Rochelle Milnes extended her lead on the Adelaide jockeys' title by one when she rode Extra Hot to a win in the 1200 metre second race.

Prepared by husband and wife training team of Peter and Belinda Blanch and purchased for $1,000 Extra Hot raced in a worse than midfield position before going on to win.

Travelling three wide Beach Pad  recorded a tough win in the 2042 metre third race.

Coming out of the Gawler stable of Arron Bain and Ned Taylor the Jason Holder ridden Beach Pad raced in a midfield position before going on to meet with success.

Jockey Andrew Stead landed his first city winner on his return to racing when Tropical House won the 1533 metre fourth race.

Prepared by Jake Stephens Tropical House, a hone bred filly, came from a better midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Coming out of the Morphettville stable of Phillip Stokes The Doll took out the 1100 metre fifth race.

Being in the first three the Todd Pannell guided The doll landed her third win from nine starts.

The father and daughter training combination fo Richard and Chantelle Jolly were well pleased with the win of Deep Float Diva in the 1100 metre sixth race.

Ridden by stable jockey Jake Toeroek and coming off a last start second Deep Float Diva came from a worse than midfield position to meet with success in a thrilling finish.

Apprentice Taylor Johnstone continued her good strike rate when she rode Lovely Lookin' to a win in the 1200 metre  seventh race.

Prepared by Andrew Gluyas Lovely Lookin' held a prominent position throughout the event.

Jason Holder brought up his second winner for the day when Bouncing Beyond took out the 1100 metre eighth race.

Presenting trainer Andrew Gluyas his second winner for the day Bouncing Beyond came from a rearward position with a strong run in the straight to meet with success.

Jockey Connor Murtagh rode his se3cond winner for the day and the book-ends for the meeting when he steered the golden Fist to a win in the 1600 metre final event.

Being u der the care of Garret Lynch at Murray Bridge The Golden Fist came from a near last position to win in another exciting finish.
