Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 15.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Port Macquarie, Coonamble, Wangaratta, Sunshine Coast, Kalgoorlie, Devonport, Terang.
PORT MACQUARIE: RACE 6 @ 2:35 PM
PUNCH ONE OUT (2) improving gelding ticking along nicely. Strong through the line in the heavy conditions when a tough fourth over 1300m at Taree. Winning rider back aboard and will take stopping today. AGED CARE (1) outclassed last time when no match for Shropshire Lad over 1100m at Scone. That has proven to be a strong race, and since kept up to the mark with an 800m tick over trial. Goes closed. PRIDE OF LANKA (9) record hardly appeals and deserves another chance on the back up after fading badly at Taree on June 5. Will go forward from the good draw and give a ton of cheek. GEEWIZ JOHNNY (6) resumes with an okay fresh record and maps to get the right run. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Punch One Out to salute.

COONAMBLE: RACE 4 @ 2:05 PM
DEION (4) is in superb form at the moment with nice wins in two of his last three starts. Nice weight drop into this and in a race that lacks many winning hopes should give them something to catch. ROTHGATE (7) has bounced back to form with successive wins at Warren and in the Gulgong Cup. Races handy and sure to be in the firing line here. EDGE OF REWARD (6) hasn't been disgraced in what look stronger races in his two runs back. Gets the chance to show up this time around, DREAM GAME (3) has won at this track and could be an improver on latest efforts while DIVINE SINNER (5) is capable of showing up.
SELECTIONS: Deion to win.
WANGARATTA: RACE 10 @ 4:15 PM
ALERO (1) resumed a dominant winner at the Heath at this level and then missed a whisker at Pakenham, when expected to win. He will be fitter and will race forward again. In the premier stable and the colt rates to bounce back. TIZ TIME (8) peaks off two narrow defeats and his numbers stack right up. She will use the inside gate and is a live chance. YAM (4) seeks the hat trick on a quick back-up. Draws awkwardly but won't have to improve much to feature. IF I WAS YOU (7) found plenty to win a 58 first up and he's improved. Needs a good ride, but fitter he can't be ruled out. ADELANTE (12) will be fitter second-up. Improver.
SELECTIONS: Backing Alero to win.
SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 3 @ 1:37 PM
GOLDEN CROSS (1) was heavily supported at the latest effort but just ran into one better on the Gold Coast. Dolan reunites in the saddle after the debut placing at this circuit and where there's smoke there's fire. Looks the one they all have to run down. MELTDOWN (6) wasn't disgraced in town when resuming and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Strong winning prospects. IHAVESEENTHELIGHT (5) resumes here but has revved up for this with a recent trial placing and must be respected from the Heathcote yard. Top-three candidate. WILL IT SNOW (12) placed over this seven-furlong journey last time out and will be rock-hard fit now. In the mix for some minor money. BERTUS (9) next in line from the inside alley.
SELECTIONS: Golden Cross to break the maiden status.
KALGOORLIE: RACE 7 @ 4:17 PM
PULL THE TRIGGER (6) came off Ascot contests in stronger and missed a whisker here over 1400m It was a big effort from the back and the step up to the mile suits. He's switched to the right yard and can go one better. SANTA BRAE (4) has gone close both starts back and he has more to give. Keeps the 2kg claim, and he will hit the line late. FEUDING (3) was heavily bet beaten 2.3L in the same contest. He went close in a 64 prior and is a hope. DREAMTIME JEAN (5) switched to Fernie second-up and needed the run. He has more to give and has won 2/3 third up. STRIKE NOW (2) has a handy 3kg claim and will find this easier than Ascot. Keep on side briefly freshened.
SELECTIONS: With Pull The Trigger.
DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 6 @ 2:25 PM
GEEGEES CITY BOY (1) looks to have landed in a suitable race, and relishes the all-weather track here at Devonport. Usually perform for Sanderson and looks to tick all the right boxes here. The one to beat. HURRICANE KETUT (3) ran a big race in the wet last time at Hobart, and can win this if that effort can be replicated on the all-weather surface. KIREINA MARUBRAH (6) should take up the running and give them plenty to think about. DESIGNER DREAMER (7) hasn't been too far off of late and shouldn't be left out of multiples. FROM PANTHERLAND (5) usually puts himself in the mix and should do so again here.
SELECTIONS: GEEGEES CITY BOY (1) is the obvious pick on his favourite track, and rightly so.
TERANG: RACE 3 @ 2:10 PM
THE MIGHTY SPAR (1) is coming off a dominant win at Casterton over stablemate Prismatic who is entered earlier. He was far too good there, pulling away to score by seven lengths having been competitive behind the country's best steeplechaser Duke Of Bedford a couple of runs back. Has to concede them weight but may just be too strong. NOT USUAL DREAM (3) doesn't win many but has to be considered off a very good run in the Australian Steeplechase at Sandown Lakeside behind Stern Idol last start when third at $51. BLANDFORD LAD (2) was okay behind Stern Idol last time and is typically consistent. This looks a nice race for him. RAISE THE NOTE (7) switches to the bigger fences off two placings over the hurdles. Have to respect. CARNAMAH (5) next best.
SELECTIONS: The Mighty Spar to win.
