Horses showed strong gallops under clear skies, with standout performances from Global Glory, Fencing Captain, and High Key.
Weather and Track Conditions:
In complete contrast to yesterday, the weather was much better this morning, with horses continuing their preparations under clear skies.
Fast Workouts:
Preetam Daby, Carl Hewitson, Samraj Mahadia and Arveen Nagadoo sent their strings out for fast workouts, whilst a few horses from Shirish Narang's yard also galloped.
Trotting and Light Canters:
Horses belonging to the Vincent Allet, Ramapatee Gujadhur and Rameshwar Gujadhur stables were sent out for lighter exercises.
Highlights:
Global Glory and Transonic were the first pairing to gallop this morning. Both impressed with a very strong 1000m workout, showcasing a rapid turn of foot going uphill.
Good Council, strongly expected to feature in the Duchess of York Cup, teamed up with Betathantherest for a workout over 1000m. Both horses looked at ease throughout.
The Preetam Daby stable horses completed two laps this morning, with sharp displays from Short Cut, Hardfallingrain, Christmas Bay, Liquid and Van Hunks.
Fencing Captain continued his preparation for his debut by exerting his authority over Anderson, who is returning to competition after last racing in October 2022.
Cartel Boss worked solo over 1000m, displaying a good turn of foot in the home straight.
High Key, once again equipped with a headband, pacifiers and drop noseband, showed up strongly over 800 metres.
Wolf Mountain dominated his sparring partner Superior Force, who is continuing his prep for an eventual return following a year's absence.
