The climatic conditions are excellent for this morning's training session, with about 150 horses venturing out to continue their preparations for the new racing season, under the watchful eyes of a good number of racegoers.

At 06:00 sharp, Le Quartier is the first horse to come out, proceeding to do a light canter on the sand track.

Around 87 horses work fast, with Grand Bay and the filly Wugug the first duo to undertake their workout, followed by Havana Moon and Kaisarissa.

Horses belonging to Vicky Ruhee Stable go out onto the sand track to canter, with Walls Of Dubrovnik ridden by Rye Joorawon. Williamthefighter is very nervous when venturing out, but calms down before entering the trotting track.

Rye Joorawon is also on board The Gatekeeper this morning. This multiple Group 1 race winner completes two laps as he continues his preparation for a return to competition.

Just as last Friday, the trio of Citadel, Double Silver and Zygi work together, this time galopping over 800 metres.

Those that catch the eye include Alpine Challenge, Grand Bay, Yoho Mist, Times New Roman, Royal Wulff and Fireflare.
