Around 150 horses hit the track today under chilly skies. Shah Akbar and Captain Mike set the pace early. Strong gallops from Elmo, Captain Bombshell, and Meridius caught the eye.
Due to the influence of a strong anticyclone to the south of the Mascarenes, the weather at the Champ de Mars this morning was cloudy and rather cold. Despite the chill, a good number of racegoers turned up to watch the training session.
Training Activity Overview
Approximately 150 horses were out on the track this morning. Trainers Vincent Allet, Rameshwar Gujadhur, Samraj Mahadia, and Arveen Nagadoo sent their strings out for fast workouts. A few horses under Vicky Ruhee's care also completed fast work, while other stables opted for light training mainly trot or canter exercises.
