Blueblood fillies to debut at Wednesday’s Randwick meeting.
Wednesday's second race at Randwick's Kensington meeting shapes as a showcase event for last year's Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.
Ernaux and Thalestris, who cost a combined $4.8 million at the Sydney sale, will both debut in the $60,000 Victor Ludorum First Yearlings Handicap (1100m) for fillies.
Ernaux, who is by I Am Invincible, is the second foal from Group 1 Oakleigh Plate winner Booker and at $3 million was the second highest-priced lot of the sale, behind the $10 million filly out of Winx.
She was bought by John Stewart's Resolute Racing, which was the underbidder on the Winx filly.
Ernaux has trialled twice in preparation for the debut, the first a third placing at Rosehill on March 6 before a narrow second placing at the same track 11 days later.
The Chris Waller-trained filly will be ridden by James Mcdonald and is the $3.50 favourite from the inside barrier.
Thalestris is an $8.50 chance from barrier seven and that daughter of I Am Invincible will be ridden by Tommy Berry.
She is out of the Pierro mare Notting Hill, who hails from the family of Redoute's Choice, and was a $1.8m buy for Hilldene Farm.
In the care of Anthony and Sam Freedman, Thalestris has trialled three times this year ahead of her debut, the most recent resulting in a half-length second to Tigletta over 795m at Warwick Farm last Friday.
Also engaged in Wednesday's event is the Peter Snowden-trained Spice Prawn, a daughter of Too Darn Hot and Group 1 winner Cosmic Endeavour who has been to the races once, for a fourth placing behind Trapeze Artist filly Pleasure Queen, who is again a rival on Wednesday.
