No less than three Group 1's await us at Eagle Farm this Saturday.

With the abandonment of two Group 1's last weekend, Eagle Farm plays host to three majors this Saturday with the running of the Kingsford Smith Cup, the Queensland Derby and Queensland Oaks.

Our best play of the day comes up in the $200,000 Listed Queensland Day Stakes in the form of Winnasedge out of the always in-form Nick Ryan yard. 

This son of Cliff's Edge has been plying his trade in harder races down south and looks to be well-placed in this Listed contest on Saturday.

Maps perfectly for Zahra from gate four and is yet to miss a drum in four attempts over this six-furlong journey. 

Kept ticking over for this with a recent Flemington trial victory and has plenty of upside over these exposed rivals. 

Our value play comes up in one of the features, the $1 million Queensland Derby. 

The Godolphin blue-blood Lavalier is a half-brother to three-time Group 1 winner Helmet and two-time Group 1 winner Epaulette and has been knocking on the door of a win in a serious race for some time. 

Will be rock-hard fit for this and currently shopping around the $14 mark he looks a solid 1W x 3P type wager.
