THOROUGHBREDS
Warwick Farm: Race 2; #3 Cinsault
I must take this horse on. She's 335-days between runs and tackles 1300m for the first time. She draws awkward, will give them all a start, and should be much longer in the market than she currently is ($2.30).
Warwick Farm: Race 4; #3 Piraeus
While PIRAEUS drops in grade today and finds himself in an easier race, how well suited he is here is the query. He does have solid performances on wet tracks, but clearly prefers to go around on dryer tracks and is unlikely to get that and he also maps to be back in the small field which could leave him in an awkward position late.
Sandown: Race 8; #8 Rewards And More
A two-horse race for mine between Trembles, who has a huge first-up rating and reminds me of the stablemate Tonkin and Stokke who is another who recorded a good rating and at this track and trip last start. They both have the fitness advantage on Rewards And More, who doesn't have a bank of first-up ratings needed to win this race and the map likely proves a bit tricky too.
Although he gets some key gear changes, I don't think it will be enough to match the figure produced by the fave last start. I expect the fave to be winning this so I am happy to risk the second fave.
GREYHOUNDS
Rockhampton: Race 8; #6 Canya Dominate
Canya Dominate appears extremely vulnerable in this contest. He isn't a brilliant beginner and he's got dogs either side of him capable of matching him to the first corner where he wants to hang wide. Expect him to be out of play early and the likes of Play Dirty and co to be off and gone.
