He's been having every chance recently but hasn't done himself any favours getting keen in the run. Blinkers come off here and Shinn sticks, but he's deep in the campaign and needs to lift to win this.
Ipswich: Race 5; #4 Existential Bob
He broke his maiden last start at Wyong on a heavy track, but I didn't think there was much depth to that field. He'll get conditions to suit today, but there are a few nice horses, namely Eclair Encore, so he's taking up a bit too much of the market.
Do expect that Apex could be an improver here today off his 1st up performance. But feel as if he is quite short in this market currently at the below even money price. He is relatively unproven on wet tracks so may not be suited on a genuinely heavy track which is the query at his price. Needs to take a step up in level here in conditions that perhaps may not suit.
GREYHOUNDS
The Meadows: Race 3; #6 From The Ghetto
From The Ghetto has a tricky draw here and in foreign territory having yet to race here. Untouched may cut him off in the early stages and that looks enough to Lay.
The Meadows: Race 5; #2 Cheesy Easy
Since resuming from a spell, Cheesy Easy has only raced over 390m and 425m. So she looks a distance query and could be vulnerable late, especially with a lot of pressure coming across from wide draws.
The Meadows: Race 6; #1 Paw Toronto
Paw Toronto will be looking to push off the track and get to the outside so he isn't necessarily suited to the inside draw. He won off Box 2 here last start but the race was chaotic and he was on the right end of it.
The Meadows: Race 9; #4 Room To Breathe
Room To Breathe is 6 starts for 6 wins. He hasn't raced at The Meadows previously and has a squeeze box to deal with. Spencer has a knack of being a pest early in races and if he bumps with Room To Breathe that could be enough to get him beaten.
HARNESS
Maryborough: Race 7; #4 Villarock
Had his chance in far easier race last time & rises to more unsuitable trip as well. Looks a risk.
