The Michael Freedman-trained Codetta comes up as our best bet in the Asahi Super Dry BM72 Handicap (1100m).

The lightly raced daughter of Nicconi is progressing strongly through her grades with three victories from eight starts.

First-up over the 1100m at this track, she was slow into stride before powering late, after returning good closing splits to run second to King's Secret.

Improving apprentice Jace McMurray retains the ride tomorrow, and the three kilo claim will prove invaluable as she meets King's Secret two kilos better.

Codetta will be looking to keep her undefeated second up record intact, and should get the fast tempo required to finish over the top of her rivals on the soft surface.

Well supported in early markets on Wednesday, the $3.30 favouritism looks justified.

Our next best comes up in the TAB Handicap BM78 (2000m), with the Archibald-trained Cormac T who is ready to peak fourth up.

Proven at this trip and further, Cormac T gets map favours tomorrow from the low draw and will benefit with Braith Nock's claim.
