Looks a good betting card for our first Sandown Saturday in some time and the we'll have to wait until the last for the best of the day.

That honour goes to Oh Too Good, a very handy mare for Kevin Daffy who has built a cracking record in nine starts, yet to miss a place with four wins to boot.

She resumed over 1200m at Caulfield and hit the line beautifully for third with the sectionals saying she was every bit as good as the quinella.

A RAS rating of 101 there is right up in line with what she was doing last time in, and at the weights carried you could argue it's close to as well as she's ever gone.

Second up last time in she did dip her RAS rating from 105-100 but it was in the Country Final at Flemington where she raced wide throughout and copping some interference from the winner, going down narrowly.

The first up run suggested she's back as well as ever and now getting to 1400m she looks far more suited. She's drawn middle of the pack and should be able to find a spot in the first six in running which will give her the advantage over Sunshineinmypocket who has the ratings and profile to match, however will be getting a long way back.

For the value play(s), I'm quite keen to be with a couple in Race 4 at double figure odds.

The first is Muirfield who comes through a very strongly run race won by Mary Eliza and he got home well for third, clearly relishing the test of stamina. He probably wants 2000m sooner rather than later but there looks good speed again and he should get a good run.

The other one is Shockletz who will also likely get 2000m in time but hits this second up off a solid win at Bendigo over 1300m fresh.

She beat the older horses there and did it with a nice turn of foot over a trip well short of her best. She's lightly raced and did get pitched up in a Wakeful behind Treasurethemoment in her maiden campaign.

Gets to a mile now second up and can spike her rating significantly.

The Melbourne Mail

Bet of the day: Race 9 #7 Oh Too Good at $4.20

Each way plays: Race 4 #14 Muirfield at $12 and #15 Shockletz at $19
