Speed and Power Shine at Champ de Mars Training

Under the lingering influence of the anticyclone, it was a chilly and overcast start to the morning at the Champ de Mars. However, the clouds gave way by the end of the session, with the sun breaking through and blue skies prevailing.

Training Activity Overview

Several stables made full use of the morning window for fast work:

  • Preetam Daby and Selvom Mootien sent out their strings for speed workouts.
     
  •  A few horses from the Shirish Narang yard were also put through their paces.
     
  • Cybotix, trained by Vincent Allet, impressed in his gallop.
     

Notable Workouts

  • Cider House Rules and Le Quartier opened the session with a sharp 800-metre gallop, both displaying an impressive turn of foot in the home straight.
     
  • Cybotix clocked a sharp 600-metre gallop, accelerating smoothly while going uphill.
     
  • Van Hunks caught the eye with a solo 800-metre gallop, unleashing a powerful burst in the final straight.
     
  • Bestday Of Mylife also worked solo over 800 metres, showcasing fluid, eye-catching action in the closing stages.
     
  • Ziva La Winter and Amandla galloped together over 800 metres, going stride for stride. Both looked equally impressive, finishing with full satisfaction.
