Not much we can take positive from either sides last efforts. One was a disappointing win and the other an horrific loss.
Fremantle can look a bit of a disappointment and yet sit inside the Eight. They've won their last four but after getting almost 5 goals up on North (at home or away whatever it was), just walked to the line.
In fact with any sort of luck and more clinical play from the Kangas, they would have lost.
They simply have to take advantage of these extra home games. At the very worst a win is a win.

As for Essendon, what can you say. They are severely impacted by injury and then young players who replace them are going to make mistakes.
You can only imagine Geelong saw that as a chance to stick the boot in. Boy they did.
And many of the injuries are down back so big scores are likely to come from that hurdle.
There are no excuses in this game for Freo. They have to win otherwise it is a bad mistake. But something makes you think the Bombers could surprise to make a game of it.
