Trained by Arc-winning handler Peter Schiergen, Geography will head to the Surrey Downs on the back of making a winning four-year-old debut in the mile Group 3 Kalkmann-Fruhjahrs-Meile at Dusseldorf in April.

The four-year-old son of Holy Roman Emperor, who will be ridden by William Buick, is a general 6/1 chance to continue his winning ways, with the Harry Eustace-trained Royal Ascot hero Docklands (7/4) and Richard Hannon's Persica, who won at this meeting twelve months ago, the only pair ahead of him in the market.

Schiergen, who is best known for his handling of his Arc and King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes heroine Danedream, said: "He's coming over to run, Derby day is a big day, so we will be coming,"

"I think he is in good form, we have gelded him since his last run which we thought was a good idea and we think he's in a good place."
