Jockey William Buick was happy to make all on Military Order, a son of Frankel, and faced very little opposition throughout. The Charlie Appleby -trained colt went clear from over 2f and won impressively by four lengths. Roger Varian's Exoplanet stayed on to finish second with Simon & Ed Crisford's Chesspiece in third.
A full-brother to the Derby (G1) and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1) winner Adayar, the three-year-old made his racecourse debut over 7f at Newmarket when fourth behind the Roger Varian-trained Enfjaar.
Miltary Order holds entries for the Blue Riband Trial (L) at Epsom on the 25th of April and the Dante Stakes (G2) at York on the 18th of May before a likely tilt at the Derby (G1). His price has been cut to a general 12/1 for the big race on the 3rd of June.
