Friday 21 March 2025 – World Pool, the globally commingled pools powered by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, is set to further extend its offering in Australia, Ireland, Hong Kong and the UK in the second quarter of 2025.

Three new Australian race days have been added to the fixture list, with World Pool set to make its debut at Morphettville for South Australian Derby Day on 3 May and then at Doomben for the Doomben 10000 on 17 May before returning to the course a week later for Doomben Cup Day (24 May).

These race days will join the returning Australian World Pool fixtures for Q2; Doncaster Mile Day (5 April) and Queen Elizabeth Stakes Day (12 April) from Randwick and Stradbroke Handicap Day (14 June) from Eagle Farm.

World Pool will break new ground in the UK and Ireland in the coming months, with the globally commingled pools set to make their debut on Irish 2000 Guineas Day from the Curragh on 24 May, while all races on Newbury's Lockinge Stakes Day (17 May) will now be part of World Pool.

Following World Pool's scheduled UK return on 2000 Guineas Day (3 May), the Hong Kong Jockey Club-powered pools will return to Newbury for Lockinge Stakes Day, where this year there will be eight World Pool races on the card, up from five in 2024.

World Pool will then head to Ireland and make its debut on Irish 2000 Guineas Day. All races on the card will be globally commingled, allowing punters in over 28 countries and jurisdictions to bet into huge global pools.

Hong Kong's three Group 1s on Champions Day (27 April) from Sha Tin will all be globally commingled for the first time, as will the final Group 1 of the Hong Kong season, the Champions and Chater Cup (25 May).

Further fixtures in Q2 will see World Pool return to the UAE for Dubai World Cup Day on 5 April, where Saudi Cup Day World Pool Moment of the Day winner Forever Young is set to be in action alongside Hong Kong superstar Romantic Warrior.

South Africa's Gold Challenge from Greyville will be globally commingled for a second year.

Sam Nati, Head of Commingling at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, said: "We are already looking forward to what will be a busy Q2 for World Pool, and we're delighted to have stengthened our offering with new race days from Australia, Ireland and Hong Kong added to the roster.

"We're committed to adding the best races from around the globe to the World Pool calendar, so extending our involvement to Morphettville and Doomben in Australia, taking in the Irish 2000 Guineas and commingling further Group 1 races in Hong Kong are all exciting developments for 2025."
