Boomer Bloodstock snaps up share in top stallion.
A share in Champion sire Zoustar was the standout lot of the Inglis Digital April (Late) Online Sale after selling for $1.1 million.
Boomer Bloodstock secured the sought-after offering on behalf of an undisclosed client.
Zoustar, who is battling it out for Australian Champion Sire honours, is an established star of the Australian breeding scene and will this year stand at Widden for $275,000.
"I'm always looking to bolster clients' portfolios and thought this offering fitted the bill perfectly,'' Boomer Bloodstock's Craig Rounsefell said.
"When we saw the listing on Inglis Digital last week we instantly knew we wanted to be really strong on it because I see it as a great investment and so did my client.
"Zoustar is such a fantastic stallion, he's going to be right at the top for the foreseeable future and to be able to buy equity in him is really pleasing.
"It's obviously a lot of money in anyone's books but the process on Inglis Digital was so easy, I love the site, whether you're buying or selling the Inglis team make it all so seamless every time.''
The second-top lot in the sale was three-year-old Written Tycoon colt Yoshinobu, who was purchased by Full Circle Racing for $180,000 and will remain with existing trainers Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald.
"Yoshinobu was offered on Inglis Digital to dissolve a partnership amongst the ownership group and some of the other owners wanted to retain the horse and keep him with us in the stable so everyone is happy,'' Archibald said.
"He's a really talented colt that we believe has much more to offer on the track and we're looking forward to seeing how far he can go."
The Zoustar share and Yoshinobu were among eight lots who realised $100,000 or more in a sale that grossed $6,121,900.
