TRIAL POINTERS

WARWICK FARM March 3: Promising Yes Yes Yes filly TRIPLE TEMPO ran away with a Rosehill trial by six lengths on February 18 and this time went even better, winning her 785m heat with ridiculous ease by more than 10 lengths in fast time (45.28; 32.66). The feature was how easily she opened up a big lead between the 500m and 300m with no apparent effort. Some nice efforts in the open heats included COAL CRUSHER. He didn't win his heat but his work was a sure sign they are coming up well for his autumn campaign. The youngsters to impress in the 2YO heats included the heat winner MY MATE ELVIS and the placegetter POLO while there was a lot to like about the maiden heat win by SIESTA.

HAWKESBURY February 24: Wyong-trained Almanzor filly EMERY took the eye with a fast sprint to the line in her maiden heat over 800m (47.84; 33.73). She was wide and 10 lengths from a tearaway leader at the 400m before steaming home over the last 200m to win the trial with her rider Grant Buckley sitting up through the line. She's only has two starts for a Wyong placing with this work good enough to win a provincial maiden.

ROSEHILL February 18: No trainer is enjoying a better run than Bjorn Baker and he has more winners in the pipeline after pleasing trials by some young prospects. INVINCIBLE PHANTOM appeared in his first trial and led from start to finish in his 900m heat with Ash Morgan swinging to him. Posted the fastest time of the four 2YO heats (54.11; 34.85) and is certain to derive plenty of benefit from the experience. Yes Yes Yes filly TRIPLE TEMPO is another of the stable's young runners to have her grounding on the country circuit where she won her maiden at Orange in October at her third start before spelling. Impressive return to open up a big lead in a fast 900m heat 53.68; 33.52) with apparent ease and cruise home by more than six lengths, speed that will stand her well in suitable midweek company.

WARWICK FARM February 11: The best heat winners in the open trials over 792m on inside grass were the free running KIBOU (47.44; 33.53). He confirmed his fitness with another speedy trial win at Randwick on February 24

ROSEHILL January 23: UNITED KINGDOM is worthy of attention after a good effort in his open heat over 1030m.
