RANDWICK September 13
11 Heats/Soft 5/Inside Grass (Randwick) TrackSIX TO FOLLOW
SHUMOOKH (Gai Waterhouse/Adrian Bott): Classy mare showed she had taken the expected improvement form her game first-up second in the Mona Lisa at Wyong, taking control of this 1200m heat from the start and running it at her leisure to score by a dominant margin with plenty in hand. Expect to see her very competitive in any race for her own sex up to 1600m. (Heat 1).
SEPARATED (John O’Shea): All Too Hard filly showed promise in her two starts in good fields last season and should not be long breaking out of maiden class after this eye catching second in her 1050m heat. No pressure early to settle well off the pace before pulling her way into the trial coming to the turn. Kept under a double grip from James McDonald but was still able to make ground all the way to the line without being let off the leash. (Heat 6)
DREAMFORCE (John Thompson): Hard to miss the first appearance by this quality Group performer since he won the Winter Stakes in July. He was the standout in a strong 730m heat won by the promising Roosevelt after he was dragged back to sit midfield where Brenton Avdulla held him up until letting him run through the pack under no pressure in the last 50 metres to finish an impressive fourth. Flies when fresh and this trial says don’t let him under your guard first-up. (Heat 9).
NOTED TRIALS: Chalk; Aqua D’Ivina; Stampede; Fierce Impact; Spright; Zenardini; Farranfore; Roosevelt; Beacon; Thy Kingdom Come; Phoebe’s Lass; Game Set Match; Laguna Mountains; Secret Legend.
