Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wyong, Goulburn, Pakenham, Kyneton, Mackay and Albany.

WYONG: RACE 5 @ 2:50 PM

O CARA MIA (6) has returned in good order this prep, missing narrowly first-up over 1500m at Hawkesbury then chiming in late but finding one better over 1850m at Newcastle last start. Gets a soft run from the inside draw and despite coming back in trip looks well placed to break through with the in-form Van Der Hoven to steer. WEST HEAD (1) started favourite first-up over 1300m at Kembla where he was strong through the line but failed by under half a length. Lightly raced three-year-old who looks primed for a first tilt at 1600m. LITERATURE TYCOON (8) got too far back in a big field and was never in the hunt over 1500m at Hawkesbury recently. Freshened up and the blinkers go on so expect a bit more spark today. NEVIIM (5) was too bad to be true when resuming at Port Macquarie recently. Trialled since and can do better. MR CONSPIRACY (9) is a handy stayer who should be competitive over this trip while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Like O Cara Mia.

GOULBURN: RACE 3 @ 1:55 PM

MAIRE DE PARIS (5) has tackled the line nicely in her first two starts, after settling rearward. With natural improvement and hopefully taking closer order, she can take this out. MAGENTA SHORES (4) followed up her eye-catching finish at Hawkesbury with another strong chasing effort last start at Nowra when a gritty third over 1400m. Looks suited stepping out to the mile and shapes as a key player. MISSION GIANT (1) is racing consistently and was game in defeat when beaten a head in third here just 10 days ago. Cherry-ripe now and is right in the mix. FLYING CHEVROLET (3) is knocking on the door and is another that deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: Maire De Paris to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 4 @ 6:15 PM

Keen on DARK SIMBA (2) to break through. He did enough fresh at Sandown Lakeside over 1400m in an unsuitable slowly run race, finishing fourth. Much better suited on the big track out to 1600m with Shinn on who can take up a prominent role from a good gate. THINKING GOLD (6) resumes. He showed good ability last time in, placing in three runs before a spell. Kicks off at a suitable trip and has claims. AVONBEG (7) was huge odds on debut over this route but ran a good race, just finding one better. Comes under notice now. MADAM GRISELDA (9) steps up to 1600m third up and should be ready to improve. DRAW ATTENTION (8) next best.
SELECTIONS: Dark Simba to win.

KYNETON: RACE 4 @ 2:30 PM

Lacks depth giving SHUBAEL (9) the perfect opportunity to break through. Fourth fresh then improved second-up when third beaten a couple of lengths. Cherry-ripe now and gets chance over the longer trip. DIOSA (2) was safely held fresh but did find the line very strongly from the tail. Fitter and will be tough to stop. KARMA QUEEN (5) was quickly out to 1850m when second-up and ran below best. Given a month between runs and comes back in journey. Can do much better this line-up. BUBBLES TIME (1) is edging towards a win, the latest when runner-up at this track and trip when running on hard. Expected to be in the finish again.
SELECTIONS: Stay with Shubael.

MACKAY: RACE 5 @ 2:57 PM

DEVIL DEVIL (3) is a very talented and lightly tried gelding who unleashed a quick turn of foot when storming home to win fresh up at Rockhampton to remain unbeaten on wet ground in 3 starts. He won't find this much harder, and with similar conditions underfoot, he can make it 2 wins on the bounce. HENRY'S BLADE (2) won his North Queensland debut by leading all the way and scoring on this track by well over 6 lengths. This ex-Victorian was then run down late at Rockhampton last time out, and with Ryan Wiggins picking up the ride, he will be the one to peg back again. SIGHTSEER (1) needed the run when finishing fifth fresh up at a recent Augathella picnic meeting and will be better for that hit-out. He might need another run, but can figure in the top 3. FLYING MAPLE (8) has been thereabouts lately, and from a good draw, she can figure in the top 3 this time.
SELECTIONS: Devil Devil to win.

ALBANY: RACE 7 @ 6:30 PM

GOD HAS DRIFTED (2) couldn't bring up the hat-trick last start when beaten 3L in a good race here 11 days ago. His form prior to that was great and this looks like a perfect race for him. Drawn well for Whiting, he can stalk the speed and get back to winning ways. CHERYL'S SHOUT (7) stepped into Saturday grade last start and was collared late following two wins to start her campaign. Blinkers come off now and she'll carry no weight after the claim of Webster. Will give them something to chase up front. SECRET STONES (5) ran over the top to score over 1100m here last start and steps up in trip today. He's placed at this track and trip previously and he drops in weight following his latest effort. Worth including. EX SPORT GIRL (4) drops right back in trip now and can return to her best form. VONSNIP (1) is better than she showed last start and can bounce back stepping up in distance.
SELECTIONS: God Has Drifted is the one to beat.
