We've found a couple of horses to follow from Murray Bridge on Saturday.
Race 2: Exalted Fire (2nd)
The Michael Hickmott-trained gelding went down by the barest of margins after looking the winner for much of the long Murray Bridge straight.
He is a perennial winner that rarely runs a bad race and, if connections run him in the BM78 over 1950m at Morphettville Parks on Saturday week, he will take some beating.
Race 10: Lomax (4th) & Sav On Ice (5th)
As a rising nine-year-old that has never won first-up, Lomax was understandably sent out a big price in his return to the track on Saturday but he ran a blinder from the back of the field to finish fouth.
He's clearly come back well for trainer Paul Carey and, once he gets to 1600m or 1800m this campaign, he'll be adding to his winning tally.
Sav On Ice settled with Lomax at the rear of the field and reeled off near identical sectionals, including the fastest last 600m of the race.
The horse has carried a boom since connections nominated him for the Cox Plate as an unraced three-year-old and, while a G1 win may be beyond him, he can definitely win in city grade in Adelaide this preparation.
