Veteran jockey Yutaka Take used his experience to rate his mount Meisho Taberu to head the race and stay there.

Meisho Tabaru was 5th in the Dubai Turf in April and this was Take's 84th G1 and his 5th win of this race.  The winner's sire Gold Ship also won the race in his day.  Bellagio Opera started favourite and ran well but not well enough to get past the winner, and we were delighted to see Michael Dee collect the third spot on Justin Palace when several people had said they thought the horse was past it.  Damian Lane put in a great rider on Chuck Nate to finish fifth when the horse had started at 100.00.
