This G1 will be run at Tokyo's Fuchu track on Sunday 8th.
While it is open to International horses, none have made it into this mile contest this year, so there are no internationals, no Romantic Warrior (who won it last year), no 3yos and no fillies or mares.
Nevertheless it is quite a competitive event and not much between the top three in the market which is headed by Soul Rush on 3.7 who beat Romantic Warrior at Meydan in the Dubai Turf in April. Jantar Mantar who has two wins over this trip and has won his only start so far this year is on 4.9. Sixpence, the mount of Christophe Lemaire, has won five of his seven starts and is on 5.4.
The other runners in single figures are Water Licht on 8.4 who has three c&d wins in his CV, and Brede Weg a consistent type who is on 9.0.
Of interest are the mounts of Michael Dee and Damian Lane – Red Mon Reve 34.7 and Sakura Toujours 37.7 if you fancy adding them to your multiples.
